Over a career spanning 34 years, of which 31 years were spent with the UB Group in a variety of leadership roles, he is well recognized for his leadership skills, ability to identify opportunities and drive growth and value. During his tenure as Managing Director of United Breweries Limited (a joint venture with Heineken) the company witnessed rapid growth and transformation.

Shekhar Ramamurthy has also been chairman of All India Brewer’s Association (AIBA) for 10 years.

He has a B Tech from IIT, Delhi, a PGDM from IIM Calcutta and has completed an Executive Development Programme from Wharton Business School.
